Holiday Runner Swap
Nothing Says Christmas like Candy Cane binding:) Am I right?
I got this perfectly handmade binding on Etsy, in The SaGranny Shop.
Even better than gifts (and every interesting thing in felt LOL), I luv Etsy for sewing supplies.
Do you go to Etsy for any can't-live-without staple supplies?
This runner is Four by Four by Genii Lehmann. It puzzled together in a fun way, and I did it all in one (9 hour) sitting. For our neighborhood quilt club holiday swap today, and I finished just in time.
You can quilt all the (red square) diamonds in one continuous line. That was fun too.
Start in the middle and zig-zag around the center line of diamonds until you reach one end of the runner. Then follow your nose back toward the center, circling the end diamonds with a larger zig-zag that quilts the three joined sides of an end and two center diamonds before each turn.
When you reach the center again, keep going and repeat in the other direction.
These sweet gingerbread fabrics are Hearts Come Home for Christmas from Tenderberry Stitches by Sharon Reynolds for Northcott. It appears that will all for the Christmas Stash this year. Time to start cleaning for holiday company. Let the games begin!
